The Plaud device performs as expected and delivers solid recording quality under the right conditions. For optimal results, enable your phone’s speaker during calls — this allows the device’s microphone to capture both sides of the conversation clearly. When using Bluetooth earbuds or wired headphones, only your side of the call will be recorded, which is a hardware limitation rather than a software issue. I recommend pairing the device with a lanyard for consistent positioning and stability. While the clip and magnetic “pin” versions offer convenience, they’re less reliable for physical activity, such as running or workouts, where dislodging is possible. Overall, this is a well-engineered device that works exactly as intended if used within its design parameters

Only major issue is them removing the option to access files via usb, your only option is to pay the subscription. But the quality is good

Not completely sold on this particular unit. So much so that I ordered another brand to compare. One glaring issue is the lack of an integrated USB-C port on the unit. You will need to use the charging dock to charge it. Which also means all those “accessories” to hold it needs to be put somewhere. Operating the unit - you cannot just “touch” to activate. You MUST press hard and hold down until it feels like recording. Its a nice looking device - but it needs work.
I’ve been using the PLAUD NotePin V2 for a bit now, and honestly, it’s super handy. It’s small, clips on easily, and the sound quality is a lot better than I expected for something this size. It’s great for meetings or just jotting down quick voice notes when I don’t feel like typing. That said, the app side could be smoother. The transcriptions aren’t always spot on, and sometimes I have to fix them after. Still, for the size and convenience, I really like it. If you want something lightweight and simple for capturing notes on the go, this does the job really well.
Great note taker just what I needed. Love the color and size.

This product stopped working 3 months after purchase it would no longer connect. Contacted Plaud support where they had me send a bunch of info jump thru hoops to tell me it was a faulty device. Garbage do not purchase. You can use your phones recording app to do the same thing.

A sleek, pocket-sized recorder with AI-powered transcription and note organization. It supports up to 30 hours of continuous recording, clear omnidirectional audio, and automatic syncing to the PLAUD app. Pros: Stylish and compact design. AI converts speech to searchable text. Long battery life. Easy Bluetooth transfer to phone. Cons: Requires app for full functionality. Limited onboard controls. Subscription needed for advanced AI features. Verdict: Great for students, journalists, and meeting notes—especially if you want audio + instant transcription in a stylish gadget.
