Customer Ratings & Reviews

I recently purchased the QFX AM/FM/SW 1-4 Band Radio in black, and I have been quite satisfied with its performance and features. As an avid radio listener and outdoor enthusiast, I was looking for a portable radio that could provide me with a reliable reception and a variety of bands to explore. The QFX radio exceeded my expectations in many aspects. Firstly, the build quality of the radio is commendable. It feels sturdy in hand and has a sleek black finish that adds a touch of elegance. The compact design makes it highly portable, allowing me to carry it effortlessly during my outdoor activities or when I'm on the go. The radio's reception capabilities are impressive. It offers AM, FM, and shortwave (SW) bands, allowing me to tune in to a wide range of stations. The AM and FM reception is clear and reliable, providing excellent audio quality even in areas with weak signals. The shortwave band is a standout feature, as it opens up a whole new world of international broadcasts and allows me to explore distant stations. The tuning dial is responsive and allows for precise tuning, ensuring that I can easily find and lock on to my desired frequency. Another aspect I appreciate is the radio's versatility. It features a 1-4 band selection switch, allowing me to quickly switch between bands and access different types of content. Whether I'm in the mood for talk radio, music, news, or even weather updates, the QFX radio delivers a diverse range of programming options. Furthermore, the radio is equipped with a built-in speaker that produces clear and balanced sound. While the audio quality is decent for personal listening, I found that connecting external speakers or headphones enhances the listening experience significantly, especially when enjoying music or immersive broadcasts. One minor drawback worth mentioning is the lack of a digital display. The radio relies solely on analog tuning, which may require a bit of manual adjustment to get the exact frequency. However, considering the affordability and overall performance of the QFX radio, this is a minor inconvenience that can be easily overlooked. In conclusion, the QFX AM/FM/SW 1-4 Band Radio is a reliable and versatile companion for radio enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike. Its solid build, excellent reception capabilities, and multiple band options make it a valuable device for staying connected and entertained. Despite the absence of a digital display, the radio's overall performance and affordability make it a worthy investment. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a portable radio that offers reliability and versatility. I bought this radio and the QFX jamb at the same time. BOTH are amazing little pieces of equipment. This bad boy is super clear, tunes in really accurately, and the fact that it's small, super compact, and charges via Mother Nature is a YUUUUUGE plus, especially in today's unstable world we live in. I can actually recharge this via a small portable charger (via the Micro-USB port).

I love my QFX R-37 Solar Powered Radio! It does so much more. It has a Bluetooth function. A USB port and so much more. The speaker is powerful. I sit it outside and the solar panel charges it. I love it

Great little radio. Grateful it isn't digital. Solar works great. Good sound. I've been able to get reception on FM/am and even pick up on the SW. Used it a few times just testing it out. It isn't heavy and it's small so it'll pack up good as well.

I use this daily at work, it’s an excellent multipurpose radio. It is MUCH smaller than I anticipated, but has decent sound. No issues with reception with extendable radio. Bluetooth function is a major plus!

Cool little radio. It is small. It does what it should. It has a flashlight.

This device may self combust. We received this in September of 2024 and used it occasionally in radio mode or Bluetooth speaker. Last week the radio stopped working and I observed a small whiff of smoke rising from the right side. It smelled like burned plastic. I immediately took it out of the house and put it outside on a concrete pad away from structures. I contacted QFX (support@qfxusa.com) and no reply. There is no phone number to call. They need to recall this product. I am glad I noticed the smoke as this Li ion device packs enough energy to start a fire.

They're 2 wires under the solar panel that you can see when you flip it up. I believe they are the wires that being the "juice" in from the solar panel to charge the radio. Faulty design. They were already snapped.

It is a great radio to bring on overnight trips as well as listening to shortwave at home. Sound quality is great and with the flashlight it helps to have this when we have blackout. Solar allows to bring it outside and not worry about battery or plug in. I recommend this radio to anyone who wants both AM/FM as well shortwave listening. Price is very good too!

This is a great radio to have, I'm not a prepper but It doesn't hurt to be prepared for inclement weather. Especially living in Florida. The sound is ok for the price I didn't expect much but it gets the job done. Signal strength inside and outside is great. I love that it's solar! You can also charge a device, play MP3's from a USB or SD along with a headphone jack out.

came in not charged, I charge it first via usb and able to test FM radio ok but short wave is weak coz of short telescopic antenna, it has micro sd mp3 player capability but not yet tested plus haven’t tested the bluetooth yet, solar charging works with power/charge red lit indicators.

Great sound, pulls signal from far away. Nice compact size - fits easily in travel bag.

this has been a delightful unit. Well built, charges from the mini panel, radio is decent, bluetooth speaker function is decent.

Very nice for camping and the solar charging is a plus.

I liked the QFX Radio with bluetooth and flashlight. The feature I loved the most is it is solar and USB reachargeable. The voice quality could have been better. Overall a good purchase.

This radio is so neat. I was pleasantly surprised. It is kind of small, and it has a rechargeable odd, shaped battery that I have never seen before. But the solar feature, the flashlight feature and the weather band feature make it an excellent radio if there is an outage.

Portable with a large choice of stations. Easy to charge and the flashlight is useful too.

Well made ,sounds very good for it's small size. Flashlight is excellent. Would recommend to a friend.

Great radio. Battery life seems to be around 6hrs running bluetooth/radio at 3/4 volume. Reception is excellent outdoors, you do have to rotate the radio to 'tune' it. Very loud for the size. Havent had a chance to try the solar panel, but its very convenient to recharge with a micro USB. I got mine for ~$26, for that price its a steal.

Lot of functions and capabilities. I like solar charging
