Sound of madness is a departure from leave a whisper and us and them towards what shinedown has become today. The album has great energy songs like "cyanide sweet tooth" and "sound of madness" balanced by "the crow and the butterfly"and "what a shame". The album has something for everyone and song for any mood.

If you like 2000's Rock like 3 Doors Down and bands like that, than this is what you want. The melodies and riffs are amazing. Definitely a keeper in an album collection.

This was the 1st album by Shinedown I have bought...and It is solid from start to finish. I highly recommend this album to anyone that likes rock/hard rock.

I heard "The Sound of Madness" on the radio and realized it was a Shinedown CD I didn't have, so I went to my local Best Buy to pick it up. It is a good CD to have for any Shinedown fan.

Before I bought this cd I knew this group for a song that is included in a soundtrack and I was surprised, very good songs and music, I recomend this group.
