Unboxing the headphones, I was excited to see the clever design. You get the earbuds, and then a cord that you can connect magnetically to each end to strap over you, or that connects through the case to give you a nice way to carry it. The case is also small and easy to fit in a pocket, and you can take the string out when you want it but also has a place for it when you don't need it. These also flip over your ear, which was promising, but thats where things started to have issues. I can get them over my hear, but they wouldn't stay in. There is no tip to help it fit right, so the speaker part is just hanging there. Having options to attach would have made these great, instead I get inconsistent sound as I move. The sound is pretty decent, if you have it near your ear, but since the ear buds don't stay in your ear good luck hearing the music you're playing. There is no noise canceling, which doesn't matter as they don't stay in your ear to use it. The case is nice, but there is no included way to charger it and the ear buds. Not even a USB C cable, and while I have a bunch, I do like at least that included. The app is nothing special either, just did a firmware update and thats it. The nice design and easy to carry design, plus the magnet and decent sound, makes these almost great. But since I can't get them to stay in my ear, there not something I can use.

Skullcandy Push 540 Open ear True Wireless Bluetooth Open Earbuds has an open ear design with a detachable neckband. There is not a charging cable included which is ok, as I have plenty of USB type C charging cables. The Push 540 earbuds were easy to connect to my phone and tablet via Bluetooth V5.3. The Push 540 earbuds has multipoint pairing, my phone and table are both connected simultaneously. I like to wear earbuds while sleeping for the noise. The fit was comfortable, not too tight buy not loose either. I like that I can still hear other noise while listening to white noise. The next morning my Push 540 earbuds were still going! I did loose one on the pillowcase, but no biggie. If I happen to be out and about and lose one of the Push 540 buds, I can surely find it with Google find my device. Highly recommend. I’ve been using the Skullcandy Push 540 Open earbuds for a mix of podcasts, calls, light music, and around-the-house listening. Overall, I like the idea of these a lot. The open-ear design makes sense for times when I still need to hear what’s going on around me, especially at home with kids in the house. Comfort is probably one of the better parts of these earbuds. They’re lightweight, and the over-ear hook design feels secure without being annoying. They don’t feel like they’re going to fall off, and I can wear them for a while without feeling like I have something jammed in my ear. That’s one of the big reasons I like open-ear earbuds for casual use and even for listening to an audiobook or podcast while falling asleep. Sound quality is fine for what these are. I wouldn’t use them for serious music listening, and I definitely wouldn’t grab them for a plane ride where engine noise would drown everything out. But for podcasts, calls, and some background music around the house, I have no real complaints. They do what I need them to do. The battery life has also been decent for my use. My main test is whether I can listen at night without getting woken up by a low battery warning a few hours later, and so far that hasn’t been an issue. The charging case is compact and easy to fit in my pocket, and I actually like the built-in lanyard idea for clipping it to a backpack. That said, I do wish the latch on the case felt a little more secure if you’re going to have it hanging off a bag. I’m less sold on the detachable neckband. I get why it exists, and the magnets are a neat idea, but I don’t see myself using it around the back of my head. It feels a little cheesy to me, and the small barrel pieces on the earbuds make the design look a little awkward. The controls took a little time to get used to, mostly figuring out exactly where to tap, but that’s pretty normal with earbuds. Once I got the muscle memory down, play/pause, volume, and skipping tracks worked fine. My biggest issue is the Bluetooth connection. I’ve had wayyyy too many audio dropouts, even with my phone sitting right next to me on the armrest of the chair. It happened with both my iPhone and iPad. I was happy to see multipoint pairing available, especially on earbuds like these, and setup through the app was pretty easy. But the connection problems are frustrating enough that I can’t call these a daily driver yet. I did update to the latest firmware, so hopefully Skullcandy can improve this with another update. I’d really give these 3.5 stars, but since Best Buy doesn’t allow half stars, I’d round up to 4. If the Bluetooth dropouts get fixed, these could easily be a 5-star open-ear option for me. Right now, they’re comfortable and useful, but the connection issue keeps them from being great.

Recently, I’ve become a fan of open ear buds. These Skullcandy buds don’t irritate your ears and work really well. What’s in the box: • Skullcandy Push 540 Open Earbuds • Charge and store case • Magnetic lanyard • Instructions and warranty First thing I did was top off the charge. My Android phone was on my desk when I was ready to connect the earbuds. Without doing anything else, a message popped up on my phone wanting to know if I wanted to connect to the Push 540 earbuds. I answered yes and let it add the buds to the Find Hub app. It was so easy that I thought I must have done something wrong. The buds worked just like this. However, they did not connect as easily to the app. But after a bit of trial and error, they finally did. The app offered a firmware update. I carefully followed the instructions, but the update got stuck (like stuck for 30 minutes stuck) each time I tried. I used Skull Candy’s chat support and tried what they recommended, but nothing worked. I gave up and decided to use the buds without the firmware update, since they seem to be working fine. If you are happy with the earbuds out of the box, I don’t think you really need the app but it does give access to features like multi point and customizing the “buttons” on the earbuds. These earbuds are very comfortable. Even though they go over my ear, they don’t interfere with my glasses. This is a big plus for anyone who wears glasses. They don’t slip around either. The buds fit a bit down in your ears. Not into the ear canal, but they don’t just hang near my ear like another pair of open ear buds I own. The sound quality is great. I think that close fit may help with this. I’ve had the buds for a couple of days and used them for several hours. They still show 97% charge. So, the battery life so far is really good. A couple of things (besides the firmware update) that I ran into include the general fussiness of the app and a lot of trial and error getting multipoint to work. At first when my phone would interrupt my tablet, only one earbud would work. After considerable frustration, I found settings on my Android phone that needed to toggle for calls and for media. The media one was not toggled on. For some reason, I toggled that on and both buds worked during calls and the problem was fixed. The app is fussy in that it often reports the buds are not connected even when the buds actually are connected to the phone, verified by the fact that I can see that in the Bluetooth settings and I’m actively using them. This review is for the buds not the app, so no stars off. But the app needs work. Tip, if the lanyard does not snap quickly to the earbuds, flip it around. The magnetic connections are polarized. In summary, these are quality earbuds. They are comfortable, have great battery life and sound great.

Performance =================================== When it comes to sound, the Push 540 Open delivers a surprisingly clean and clear experience. The 12mm dynamic drivers do a phenomenal job of separating the mids and highs, providing great clarity for vocals and instrumentation. Obviously they lack the extreme, bass-heavy "boom" that many Skullcandy buyers expect, but they still deliver adequate lows that outperform many typical open-ear devices. I think this is the most surprising part. With open-ears, you're pretty much giving up any chance of real bass, but what you get out of these is surprisingly good. More so if you push them in a bit, but then they could block the other external sounds, which isn't why you bought them! The secure hanger-style earhooks and comfortable on-head feel let you stay focused on your run or commute without irritation, even after hours of wear. I was worried that the flexible, but not poseable, hooks might not work for me, but they did! I think smaller ears could have trouble keeping these hooked on securely, though. When taking calls or jumping into meetings, these 540s are better than decent. The buds house directional microphones powered by Skullcandy's AI-driven Clear Voice Smart Mic feature, which actively reduces background noise while prioritizing your voice. I did use them in meetings, but I wouldn't replace my dedicated headset with boom mic. They're pretty good considering the mics are so far from your mouth, though. The battery life is a clear standout. With up to 10 hours per charge cycle, you likely won't need to top them off during a full workday or a marathon. If you do find yourself running low, a quick 10-minute rapid charge yields an extra two hours of listening time. Summary ==================================== The Skullcandy Push 540 Open is a great all-arounder for anyone who lives an active lifestyle or needs to stay aware of their surroundings. It’s comfortable for all-day wear, and the audio quality brings surprising clarity to music, podcasts, and calls. You will NOT get heavy sub-bass or active noise cancellation, but that's the expected trade-off for safety and situational awareness. If you jump between the gym, outdoor runs, and office environments, you could have one pair of earbuds to rule them all with the Skullcandy Push 540 Open.

So these headphones are good headphones, don’t get me wrong. Sound quality is good and Skullcandy has been somewhat of an upper tier brand from some time now. But this “open ear” thing is just not for me. I have in ear headphones from top brands and obviously in ear provides for excellent noise cancellation. The problem i have is that i wear them outside for yard work and mowing, and with sweat they always wiggle around and need to be adjusted, always risking falling out. So I figured something like these Skullcandy headphones would be better at staying in place. I was wrong. I wear glasses, and having these on over my ears would rub on my glasses and constantly move out of place, requiring frequent adjusting while using them. If you have glasses or wear sunglasses, or even a hat, you run the risk of having this same issue. And the problem with this happening is that, once they start moving around, you are fidgeting with them so much it’s hard to not get frustrated and forget what you were trying to do in the first place. Also forget about any type of noise cancellation. Heck I’d take just basic old school headphone noise cancellation. You put these on and go outside, unless you are by yourself in the middle of the desert, you are not going to even be able to hear anything. I went for a walk with these on, listening to a podcast, on my lunch break on a school campus. Had the volume all the way up and still could barely hear it because the ear piece is not in the ear canal. People chatting, cars honking, employees mowing the grass, etc. Could barely hear any of the podcast. At that point what’s the point of wearing headphones? I was ready to give up. Now if you have some unknown issue that prevents you from wearing in ear headphones, sure this could be an alternative that may work for you, but I hated these. I didn’t think the issues would be as bad as they were. Also, these are true wireless indeed, and come with a neat little cable to connect them if you want, but I honestly had some connection issues if I would tilt my head down. More than a handful of times if I did tilt my head down while they were on, I would hear static or one side would sound like it disconnected. When I tilted my head back up, those issues would go away. Very strange. Overall I don’t think I would recommend these. It’s not a Skullcandy thing. I would recommend the brand. I have other Skullcandy headphones, either over ear or in ear, and they are great. It’s just these open ear ones, they are not good.

Biggest advantage of the open earphones is their comfort. That’s exactly where this excels. It’s design is excellent for extended or all day use and especially suitable for exercising, jogging and running; where it stays securely regardless of any outdoor activity. As with any open ear buds, the trade-off for the comfort is the sound quality. It’s not bad at all, by any means, but it’s not the best. The 12mm dynamic driver delivers a good performance. The IP44 offers sweat and dust resistance. There is a magnetic neckband which can be attached if required, but I never felt the need for it. This can also be used as a carry loop for the case, but I feel it’s simpler without it. The battery easy lasts all day. The quick charge is super helpful. The tap commands are excellent. And with the app, it’s customizable too. The app also offers various sound modes and customized equalizer as well. This earphone also has multi point connectivity, where we can connect 2 devices together and seamlessly transfers between laptop and phones. I always wondered how would it be to use this with glasses and happy to report that I had no problem using with the glasses. Overall, it’s a good budget friendly comfortable earphone with decent sound quality for an open ear model and it’s very useful during outdoor activities.

This is a great set of earbuds with mostly positives, but not without a couple negatives, but it really comes down to personal preference and what you need out of them. In my case, I've had several different earbuds and one thing I've accepted, is the fact that I need ones that wrap around the ear somehow, and these do exactly that. With this style, I never have any issue with them falling out no matter what I'm doing. Best part of these Skullcandy earbuds, you can't hardly feel the part that goes behind your ear, it fits about as naturally as they can. These do also come with a handy neck strap/cord, which doesn't necessarily help with keeping the earbuds on, since they already don't have a problem with that, but mainly let you take one or both out of your ears when needed, and then they can just hang around your neck. That makes it so much easier than fumbling them around and placing them somewhere you might forget or stuffing them in your pocket, like I have to do with my other set of earbuds that I own. I also love how easily they attach/detach with the magnets, and the fact that it doubles as a wrist strap on the case. The case itself is a bit big, but it's slim, so it still slides into a pocket nicely, and it quickly recharges the earbuds. Not much more to say about the case though, it just does what it's supposed to do. On to the earbuds themselves, not only is the behind-ear part comfortable, but the part that goes in, or on, your ear, is just as comfortable. They fit into my ears perfectly and I could easily wear them all day long and never feel any discomfort. This is a big advantage these have over other earbuds that seal inside your ear. My other earbuds that seal inside the ear tends to make that part of my ear feel a bit raw after a couple hours. That's not an issue whatsoever with these Skullcandy earbuds. Another huge benefit to these being more open in your ear is the fact that you can still hear the world around you, and naturally. Again, comparing to my other in-ear buds which have a mode for that, these Skullcandy open ear buds are just so much better. It's more like listening to external speakers and still being able to talk to people, versus the artificial amplified sounds that in-ear noise cancellation buds make. Of course you do have to give up any noise cancellation with this open style of earbuds, but that's an obvious trade-off you have to make. Another thing I really like about these is how you can customize the controls. Using the Skullcandy app, you can change what the various bud taps can do. Personally, I did 1 tap left for volume down, 1 tap right for volume up, 2 taps left for track back, 2 taps right for track forward. The app also gives you equalizer control. If you're not a fan of having to download an app to use something, I found the default settings are fine. The EQ default is actually what I ended up liking the best, but there is no volume control by default, so you'll have to get the app for that. Luckily I was able to customize everything with the app once and haven't really had to use it since. Finally we get to the most important aspect of earbuds, the sound quality. The sound is clear, but it lacks depth. I realize there's only so much you can do with tiny speakers in an open earbud design, but no matter how I adjusted the EQ or how quiet my surroundings were, I just couldn't get the lower frequencies to come out. And what I found is that in a quieter environment, the lack of depth seems to stand out more. The only other negative I have, is when these earbuds first play music, like when you're restarting after hitting pause, they blast out a quick burst of sound. It's kind of like when you turn on your car radio but don't realize how loud the volume is set at and it causes you to jump and reach for that volume knob as fast as you can. That's what it sounds like, except it's the earbuds that instantly adjusts the sound back to normal. For reference, this was when playing music through the same music app on the same iPhone as other earbuds I've used that doesn't have that happen. Ultimately, whether these are worth buying depends on your use case. Personally, they complement my other earbuds in a way that these Skullcandy earbuds do have a place. So for when I need to have full awareness of my surroundings, these are my go-to earbuds. They're also PERFECT for when I'm driving on long road trips with my family. It lets me listen to whatever I want while still being able to hear everything around me and not having to pull out an earbud just to hear what my wife was trying to tell me. They have the added benefit that they don't make my ears sore after several hours on these long road trips.

I picked up the Skullcandy Push 540 earbuds due to my preference of open earbuds over in-ear earbuds for both comfort as well as awareness of things happening around me while outdoors. This review is based on a week of use in the gym and around the farm. TL:DR - These are well designed open earbuds, with good sound quality, sturdiness, and fantastic stability. The included strap is nice for high impact events like mountain biking, but I don't like the added weight for most activities, including workouts. Like any other open earbud I've tried, there is noise leakage, but the sound is better than anticipated with the larger driver size that you typically don't get with in-ear earbuds. Pros: Comfortable and lightweight for long duration wear Superior stability in ear Great battery life and quick charge Cons: Case feels a bit flimsy While I love the strap for outdoor cycling as well as carry case handle, it also seems to make the ear buds less stable in my ear with the extra weight Setup is straight forward, on Apple the earbuds will show up on your bluetooth options when removed from the case. Once paired you're ready to go. Controls are intuitive and editable, defaults are single tap to play/pause or answer call, double tap to skip, triple tap for voice assistant, and hold to either end call or reject call. While the app isn't required, it offers battery life for each earbud, equalizer settings - music, podcast, bass boost, or custom, and tap button configuration. Also within the app is latency control for gaming, multi-point pairing enablement, disabling touch controls and info cards for the ANC and voice assistance functionality.  As far as usage goes, they are super sturdy, not affected by sweat from the gym or dust from outdoor chores, clean up is easy with a wet cloth, while I didn't hose them off, I wasn't shy about getting them wet to get them completely clean either. The strap is magnetic and sits within the case so you can use it as a carry strap but also so the strap doesn't get lost. I've used them at the gym, doing plyometric training, running, and farm chores, all without the included strap. The earbuds are very stable in your ear, as the mic rests against the ear canal and is held in place naturally. It's hard to describe because there is no pressure on the ear canal, but the ear buds sit more securely than any other open earbuds I've tried in the past just based on how the design is complemented by the ear anatomy. I had my teenage son who has larger ears than me try them as well, and he also felt they were secure without being uncomfortable. I'm not sure I'm sold on the neckstrap, but it does give me some comfort in knowing I won't lose an earbud when doing things that are higher impact. So far I've used them while riding an atv around the farm, as well as off road biking, with no issues.  Bottom line, I love the open ear buds, it is a safety aspect for working around livestock and farm equipment. The ear buds are super secure while still being comfortable, with the neck strap as added insurance for not losing them when you're mountain biking, one wheeling, or other more demanding outdoor sports. The sound quality is better than expected for this price point, and overall I feel that Skullcandy got it right with the sound quality and design versus the price point. 

Skullcandy Push 540 Open-Ear True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds comes in 3 colors: Bone, Plasma, and True Black. I got the True Black color. In the box: charging case, Push 540 Open-Earbuds, magnetic neckband, user manual Setup: setup is really easy. I was able to pair these to my iPhone, laptop, and my tablet with ease. There is an application you can download that allows you to customize the sound and other things like the taps on the earbuds to control what it does. The app is called Skullcandy and it’s free. The earbuds are rated for IP44, which means they are dust, sweat, and water resistant. They cannot be submerged in water. They can’t be worn while swimming. If you are walking while wearing them and it starts raining, they would be fine. Fit: I have never had earbuds that fit like these. All of the earbuds I have for inside my ear canal. These are made to sit on the outside of your ear canal so that you are aware of what is going on around you. The piece going around your ear helps to secure them in place. I wore them all day while cleaning. They never fell off nor did I have to adjust them. Once while on a call the other person said I sounded like I was in a hole. Another person I talked to that day said that they couldn’t hear me well. I went into the Skullcandy app and changed the settings a few times, made a call to the same two people, and they heard me better. I had gone in and messed with the settings earlier and probably changed something I shouldn’t have, I don’t know. I talked to several people that day and only two complained. The neckband is pretty cool. There is a slot on the charging case where you can put the neckband in and it holds it and lets you use it as a strap for the case. When you use the earbuds, you take the neckband out and it attaches to each earbud magnetically. Like I said, it’s pretty cool. These are secure on your ear and are made for working out, jogging and walking. Sound quality is pretty good. I listen to a lot of music, podcasts, audio books, and am on a lot of conference calls. I’m a heavy user of earbuds and headsets. I need them to have great sound quality. These sound great. The bass is adjustable as is the type of audio you are listening to. The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars instead of 4 stars is the fact that more than one person had a hear time hearing me when on the phone. Everything else was great.

I'm always on the hunt for good earbuds and I think often to myself, "what would I want in a set of earbuds?" It is almost like Skullcandy was listening. Arriving in a stylish case, you have your buds in a very cool case that is a big wider than normal with a sleek design and logo work. It looks and feels like something Alienware would make and that's a compliment. I've used dozens of earbuds with several over the ear models, and after a solid week of use, the 540s are without a doubt my favorite. Ergonomically, the earbud portion is slightly larger than normal along with the behind the ear loop and this really works well for stability and sound delivery. The build quality is a step above the rest too. Sound wise, you have to accept that over the ear earbuds will never be able to deliver the thumping bass or richer sound of in ear earbuds simply because of design and physics of how the music is delivered. For example, if you put over the ear earbuds on, put your favorite song on and listen to it, you will notice the harder you press the earbuds against your ear, the deeper and richer the sound and bass is delivered. So with over the ear earbuds, there is a compromise for those who don't like earbuds mashed inside their ear canals (like myself) that bass and richness can only be so great but there are levels to even that restriction and Skullcandy delivers easily the best over the ear sound I've heard so far especially in this price range. Another nifty quality of life feature is a magnetic neck strap/rope that connects to each earbud if you want. Every want to pull one or both earbuds and just let them rest around your neck but many times you don't want a bothersome strap getting in your way? This is the perfect system. Most times, I don't need it outside, but at the gym I like to have it in case I end up talking to someone. It makes it easy to just unhook them and wear them around your neck like you would a standard pair of headphones. I like having this option. Paired to my iPhone, I found they are phenomenal podcast/youtube earbuds and like mentioned before, for good audio playback due to design, they aren't the best but they ARE one of the better over the ear earbud designs I've encountered. Battery life has been excellent so far. I haven't charged them yet this week. The price is very solid too for this level of quality and design. I've been using these for a solid week and I've now put the several other earbuds I was cycling through in the closet because the Skullcandy Push 540s really check all the boxes I could want for over the ear earbuds. These are officially me favorite over the ear earbuds and actually earbuds in general. I literally have zero complaints as they check all my boxes and that is a rare feat.

I’ve had my fair share of experience with various styles and brands of open-ear earbuds. In my time with them, I’ve found the models that loop up and around the ear to be the most comfortable option. I’ve used a few similar pairs that had a tendency to press my glasses into the side of my head, so I was a little worried that might be an issue here. I’m happy to report that after putting in over 20 hours of use with these earbuds, I haven’t experienced any ear pain or discomfort at all. Let’s get to what most folks care about first, since sound quality is probably the most important part of any set of earbuds. Honestly, the sound is far better than I had expected. Music comes through crisp and clear, with the highs and mids standing out nicely. Even listening to audiobooks or podcasts is a great experience. Given the open-ear design, the lows are definitely a bit weaker than what you’d get from other types of earbuds, but the bass is still there. The overall design is great, and the case is fairly compact considering these are the loop-around-the-ear style. One thing I really love is that the lanyard does double duty; you can use it to secure each earbud and wrap it around the back of your head to keep them in place if you’re heading out for a run. The sweat-proof feature is another nice bonus for active users. The companion app is well-designed, and I really like that it gives you the option to tweak the EQ to your liking. These are some earbuds I can easily recommend. They’ve even impressed me more than some much more costly alternatives.

Skullcandy has a great line headset products. The Push 540 excels at several qualities though has average ratings in others. The best characteristics of this particular model include how light weight these are, the battery life which is outstanding under constant use, the cord that connects both earpieces to hang over the neck and is used as cord to carry the case. I connected this Push 540 to both my Android and Apple phones, though connecting it to iOS was a bit more tricky than Android. The app is nicllely designed, intuitive to use and customizable settings. There are couple of issues that I do not like, such as how uncomfortable feel in my ear and how tricky or cumbersome it is to put them on. These are not noise canceling ear pieces but since they are meant for active and sports enthusiasts it is perfect to be aware of the sourandings and still hear great sound. The case is fairly significant with a flat design somthi that won't impress or capture eyes. Finally, the tap commands are limited to answer/hung up and play/pause which is not major issue.

I was hopeful for these, but they just were not comfortable for me. I wear glasses so these sitting over my ears along with my glasses felt like too much and where they sit in front of my ear canal became sore. It's like they are too big for that space. I have worn open ear headphones and I prefer them. These were almost into the canal and that's where they became sore. I like the idea of the magnetic cord to help prevent them from getting lost. I was able to use the cords to alternate wearing them so that I could lessen the discomfort. The sound quality was decent enough. The book I was listening to, the pause play button didn't work so I had to use the book's app on my phone, this was also super inconvenient. It's not a product that I could recommend from my experience. Since I wasn't a fan, my husband asked to try them. His open ear headset recently stopped powering on. He doesn't have the comfort issue I did. He also wears glasses but not all the time as well as hearing aids, but he doesn't wear the hearing aids when wearing these. He's used to the over the ear bulk. He also mentions he likes the sound quality and functionality. Given his poor hearing, these were pretty good for him. He said his only gripe is that the volume control isn't on the headset anywhere, it has to be done through the phone. I had to show him the app and how the buttons could be configured to set them to adjust volume. He said he would recommend them. For me, I would rate them a 3. My husband would rate them a 5 so a compromise rate of 4.

Open ear bluetooth headphones are, in my opinion, the best type of bluetooth earbuds available for individuals who are working in the field or working out. For safety, everyone should be able to hear what all is going on in the environment around them. That is where the Skullcandy Push 540 comes in. They are super light weight. When I put them on, I typically do so first thing in the morning. I usually do not take them off until I am done with work for the day. It is so easy to forget they are even on my ears. They are so comfortable and I never find them irritating like traditional in ear headsets. The earbuds get decently loud, however, do not expect them to put out sound as well as in ear headsets. This also includes bass. Because the earbuds are not physically inserted into your ear canal the bass response is low, but I believe that comes with the territory when using open ear buds. Phone conversations are also very clear on these earbuds. To control them, simply touch the sides of the earbuds. You can customize the functions via a downloadable app on your smartphone. The earbuds battery life lasts me all day, but if they need a quick charge, the case has a built in battery. The case is light weight and I really like the design. It comes with a really cool magnetic lanyard that serves several different functions. First, the lanyard can be used as a loop for the case. Secondly, it can be removed and magnetically attached to the earbuds themselves. I thought this was a really cool feature. If you are looking for a comfortable, inexpensive headset then look no further, this set of open earbuds will check those boxes for you.

The Skullcandy Push in my third pair of open-ear sport headphones - I like this type as it allows me to still pay attention to whats going on around me, the wrap around ear stays in place better than any other form factor and they stay comfortable longer than ear buds or overear head phones. This pair is mid-tier and I've looked at lower quality brand and more prestigious brand offerings before reviewing the push 540s - and I'd place the quality close to the higher end than to the budget one's I tried. I found the sounds quality to be very good - there is a good blending across right and left channels when you're listening in stereo, I do notice there is a pronounced punch when you press play after pausing music which would be the most upsetting bit of feedback. Like many ear buds, these don't do a great job filtering external noise for the other participants when you're on the phone or a zoom call - they can work for work calls but only when you're listening more than talking. The cord is a nice touch for when you want to let the ear pieces rest around your neck, but I found it weird that the cord in +/- N/S bias so that you have to connect one side always with the right ear piece and onside always with the left, I would've preferred one polarity for both ear pieces and one polarity for both ends of the cord. Battery does well, I could use them for 2+ hours before recharging in a case that quickly brought the ear pieces back to full strength. I like the design of the case as well.

The Skull candy Push 540 headphones are a wireless offering that are lightweight and uses bluetooth. Skullcandy is known for its loud deep bass and I was excited to try these out. These connected instantly with my iPhone 17 Pro Max. They came 60% charged, So to test these I turned on some EDM, and Normally Loud bass music. The headphones set just at the entrance of the ear so its very comfortable and not irritating to my ear. Im not a big fan of things that go in canal for the pain. So these were comfortable. I turned my phone to max and sat back and let them play. It was a noticeable dampened sound and a weaker bass than I was used to0. So I adjusted so they were better positioned and I got a deeper and more crips sound. I mention this because during working out the sound would shift as these moved slightly. Then when i was mowing These were deafened by almost 75% because they were blasting in my ears. I did find these were perfect for working at my desk at work and my coworkers couldn't hear them. So for me that is the perfect scenario and I could wear them all day if I wanted. They lasted roughly 14 hours on a single charge.

Good ear buds for everyday use charge kinda sucks but it gets the jobs done

I love these open ear buds..I like that they do not go into the ear, but instead are over the ear so you can hear the world around you. I never liked to block out the world when one is walking the dog in a neighborhood without sidewalks, so you walk on the side of the street. I can't imagine not hearing cars coming up on me. These Skullcandy ones are perfect and you can hear everything around you! It took a few seconds to get them in the correct position over my ear, but once you got it, the sound was amazing! Full bodied and rich! I was listening to music and I wanted to get up and dance to it! I was impressed! It was real easy to connect to my phone and I love that you can tap either ear piece and it will follow the commands. You don't have to remember which bud to tap for what.. nice! Throw all the buds that go into your ear out in the trash...they always hurt, you can't hear the world around you, and keep on getting loose like they will fall out...these skull candy ones even got a lanyard for extra safe keeping so you won't lose one... Lots of great features! Highly recommend!
