Sony almost created something too good!

So if you were a fan of the xm4s and loved the sonund but wished they could have been a little less thick or less fat...this is the answered prayer to that request. The Linkbuds S gives you the lightest and smallest High Res audio earphone in the world. They sit in your ears very well and even flat enough to lay down in them. The sound quality with EQ abilities gives you the same options you have wirh the Xm4s. Some say a little better balance is heard in these vs the xm4 but I dont hear enough difference to truly believe I. would look back and miss either one and that's big for this model as it is cheaper. In fact, the only thing I would say might bother some is the lack of wireless charging and maybe a few hours less on total battery life. Personally anything over 5+6 hours is good and anything over that is just icing on the cake. Other than that you got the hear through options and touch controls like tje xm4s as well. But the biggest plus and shock is how much better these are vs any other earphone on the market at taking phone calls. The voice quality is at the top of the market for earphone. Sony truly worked its magic with the microphone array on this earphone. These things are even better than brands like Jabra which is sayjng a lot. So buy with the confidence that you truly have a true All arounder.

Solid Mid-Range Buds! Too expensive @ $200 though

Sony LinkBuds S are a step in the right direction for Sony. They are a solid mid-range set of buds, light in the hand but feel well made (I wouldn't say feel premium, just ok) but regardless of this and the lack of wireless charging or multipoint connection (neither of which I care about) the SOUND is great. Subjective? of course... but even the novice mainstream music listener can appreciate these set of buds. They are not for everyone, but the small form factor, good Sony Headphones Connect App and very good sound are an easy recommendation at say... $150-$175 max. They are not $200 worthy, but as a Sony fan and Sony supporter... I'll let it slide. I would suggest looking out for discounts though. These would be an easy 5 stars if the price would reflect their worth. But... my opinion and these are certainly good enough.

[Employee of bestbuy] For the price, these are great wireless earbuds. They stay in the ear when I run, no problem with sweat or light rain, battery life is very nice. Please keep in mind that the material of the earbuds and the case feel almost like paper. It is an unusual texture for earbuds and I worried they would be damaged in water, but it is only a cosmetic choice. They hold up great. You need to download the Sony app to use these. A few too many preferences you must setup before you can use the earbuds but I like that there are tailored experiences in mind for an affordable earbud.

Worth every dime

I was using Powerbeats pro before I bought Sony linkbuds S. Powerbeats pro had multiple issues and I decided to trade in to buy a different brand of EarPods. I thought of trying Sony linkbuds S. Oh man, I made the right choice. It works perfectly for me. Its noise cancellation feature is really amazing. I’ve been using it for the past few weeks. I have a 1.5 hours commute time to work and I take public transportation. The noise cancellation feature cancels the external sounds to almost 100% that I’m able to enjoy music without any distractions. The sound quality is incredible too. The pods perfectly fits in my ears even while I run/jog. Recently I paired the pods with the SONY smart TV in my bedroom and I’m able to enjoy watching TV even while lying in my bed as the pods are small and not sticking out of my earlobes. Sony products never fail to amaze me. These EarPods are worth every dime.

Great headphones, comparing to the xm4s, very similar sound quality but that's where the similarities end, these are VERY comfortable and fit super well, along with being super light whenever I go for a run or go to the gym, these stay in and I never have to push them to make sure they sit right, noise cancelling is amazing as well. Another pro is the price difference from something like the xm4s. I also really like the case and has an above average battery life. They're also fairly small and don't go too far out of my ear so they aren't super uncomfortable if I'm laying down on my side listening to music. Only cons I can think of is that the case doesn't have wireless charging, which is fine since I only need to charge it maybe once a week. Although I don't prefer spending $200 on headphones, getting these on sale would be amazing.

Muffles human voices really nicely

Connects really fast. They were able to cancel out human voices very well. (I have not tried them when around screaming kids. But I'm sure they would muffle the sound a good bit if combined with white/brown noise) They can be comfortable as long as you choose the right size and don't wear them too long. I use over the ear headphones for longer use and these earbuds for when it's really noisy and need to focus for a bit.

I have purchased many brands and types of wireless earbuds over the years, including top name brands. So far all of them have left me disappointed and missing the quality of my wired earbuds until now. The Sony Linkbuds S is the first wireless earbuds that has the quality of sound I expect and surprisingly wonderful noise cancelling capabilities. The value is amazing, especially if you can buy them on sale. They are also the most comfortable wireless earbuds I have ever owned and can listen for hours without fatigue or having my ears hurt. They especially sound even better when coupled with correctly paired foam eartips. With a 15 day return policy I strongly recommend you buy these and compare them to any other pair of wireless earbuds you are considering. The magic of the sound comes alive as you change the settings in your phone and the Sony headphones app to prioritize sound quality and set up DSEE Extreme. Sony has designed amazing software to pair with their hardware to create amazing sound.

You should get more for the price point.

Great set of earbuds. I have really small ears so it's hard for me to find buds that actually fit, these do. These are extremely light buds and have great sound. Noise cancellation is top-notch once again from Sony. Accompanying software UI could be a little bit better. For the price point though, I think you should have a wireless charging case; these don't. I also think that you should be able to connect to multiple devices. Connectivity can sometimes be lacking especially if you're in a high populated area I've noticed the connection isn't as stable. Other than that, sound quality and comfort are a+.

For connection with multiple devices, unfortunately, the LinkBuds S do not support Multipoint Connection, but it can be paired with multiple devices (up to 8)—though it can play audio from only 1 paired device at a time.

These earbuds don’t hurt my ears

These earbuds turned out to be perfect for my needs, they don't hurt my ears after using alternately in each ear, the battery life is also very good lasts for hours, perfect sound when i want to listen to music and the noise cancellation is very good too. I generally listen to podcasts and YouTube, I can take calls, compared to the BOSE I bought months ago they were quite good, you can use these one at a time, which is what I usually do, I bought some Sennheiser that I had to return because they were quite big for me ear, and my AirPods that I used for years got damaged and I decided to give other brands a chance and so far I am very happy with my purchase.

Small but overall good value for money

These are small and really light. It fitted in my ear so well. Battery life is also good as I used it for 6 hours on the go without keeping them in the case, however, in ambient mode. Sound is of great quality to listen to music or watch movies. The call quality was also good. I really like these and would recommend to my friends and family if they are looking to get something like these for below $150.

I’ve been using it for a month already and they are pretty good. Once in a while they disconnect but that happens rarely. They do connect to 2 devices at once as long as you got the Sony app. Sound is good too they are thumpy and detailed and noice canceling is great. Obviously the AirPods Pro and Bose are better but they hang in there pretty well.

High quality for relatively low price!

Incredibly good sound quality, super effective noise cancelling, and has really nice adjustable passthrough. There are a lot of Quality of Life features I have not utilized, but they're there! Like intelligent voice passthrough: Need noise cancelled till someone is talking? You got it! There is an app that is used for some parts of setup, but it's lightweight, super user friendly, and really responsive. Also, I'm a bit of a klutz and have dropped these and the case... maybe more than once, but not a single problem. Absolutely recommend for the price.

I purchased these just over a year ago and overall they were fine with the noise csncelling and bass response. The three issues i have with these earbuds are that they do not auto connect to my Galaxy s25 when placed in the ear. I have to manually connect them each time. Second if i take out the right earbud, the left will not play and last, the right earbud will not hold a charge after about an hr. I personally would look into another brand.

These symptoms suggest your earbuds might benefit from a troubleshooting step or two. We highly recommend trying a reset first, and if that doesn't resolve the issues, an initialization to factory settings. These steps can often resolve unusual connectivity and battery behavior.

Sony is 2/2 for
I own Sonys XM5s and previously owned Apple airpods 3, Gen. 1, Gen. 2, and I do prefer something about Sony’s sound of earbuds and headphones. (Tidal Max User) Being able to customize EQ really does make a difference (8, 4, 2, 4, 8, Bass +10) & (4, -1, 3, 1 -1, Bass +5). I do not have the luckiest fit when it comes to earbuds so thank you Sony for including XS tips. Overall I’m satisfied with these well-rounded price of earbuds, their ANC and transparency are just fine for me but Apple does good always in that category.

If you are one of those people who do not wanna be TEAM SAMSUNG GALAXY or TEAM APPLE IS BEST or any other brand fandom, I definitely encourage you to buy it over other competitive products. It's just very safe choice for the price. The design is not best but clean, sound quality is amazing for the price (with the Sony headphones app), and battery life was way above my expectation.

The linkbidsS are a must have from Sony they are affordable for those who are on a budget they have great sound you can really feel the beat in every song their noise cancelling feature is is as good as the wf-1000xm4 and and have great battery life you can be jamming out to your favorite songs for hours
