I ordered this and was excited. When I opened the box and pulled it out (extremely heavy) I was not impressed. It just didn't look and feel how it was portrayed in photos.

I read a lot of reviews online and compared various chairs prior to purchasing. I liked that the chair is adjustable and ergonomic: the arms adjust forward and side to side; the lumbar support is nice; the adjustable seat depth is useful for when I want to sit forward. I appreciated that I am able to recline smoothly and recline depth is also adjustable. It is firm but comfortable. It feels high quality and is designed well. The chair comes with a guide to help you learn where everything is. It does arrive fully assembled. However, the cobalt that is pictured on Best Buy's listing is incorrect. Look at the colors on Steelcase's website before purchasing. It is also very heavy. It has been a couple of weeks since it arrived but I am happy with this chair.

I WFH between 8-10 hours a day. After struggling with many $100-150 office chairs that would give out within a year, the Steelcase Gesture is a refreshing change. It takes a bit of adjusting, but it is definitely the most comfortable and supportive office chair I've owned. I do not have back pain after a long day in the chair. My only caveat is that I wish there was a way to lock some adjustments in place; the armrests seem to want to move a lot on their own when I am entering and exiting the chair. The 10-year warranty and top notch build quality justifies the high cost of the chair.

The chair is well made, and comfortable. I mainly play games on mouse and key, and i would say it helps a bit with maintaining decent posture. I dont know if the price is justified, but ive had it for over a year now and it still feels the same so maybe its worth if it stays that way for at least 5 years.

The "installation" for this chair (no headrest on my model) was shockingly easy. You push in the lift bar to the bottom of the chair, slide the wheel base on, flip it upright, and sit down. That's all there was to it. I haven't gotten to use it very long, but I'm already digging the adjustments I can make on this as compared to my previous Autonomous chair. Just the fact that I (as a 6'0”, 170lbs male) can finally sit at an appropriate height is an immediate win before my old chair. I'll update here as necessary, but I'm expecting only good things to come from this chair as time goes on.

This chair is exceptionally well built and comfortable. It’s very expensive but I believe it’s built to last for years.

It’s a good chair, very comfy. I just don’t know if the price is justifiable versus getting chairs half the price. Had to return mine because there was some imperfections on the brand new chair which for the price I paid was unacceptable to me

This chair is clearly high quality. It is well designed and well manufactured. The real question anyone considering it has to ask is "Is it worth the price?" It is easily 3 times more expensive than many other well made office chairs. It is not constructed in a way that makes it especially durable: most parts are plastic or fabric, and it isn't clear it will last longer than similar chairs less than a third its price. So what justifies the price? Maybe it's superior design. However, after sitting in it over two weeks, I wasn't convinced it was that much better. I returned it and bought a chair about 1/10 it's price, and I'm content with that, having made a direct comparison.

It's a solid share and one of the best office chairs if you work long hours in front of the computer bun. If you're not tall enough, the lumber support will hurt you. I'm 6'1, and it is perfect, but my wife is 5'2, and she found it highly uncomfortable, so we had to return her chair.

This has to be the best office chair I have ever purchased. I read the review on the New York Times' Wirecutter product review website and then selected Best Buy to make the purchase. Heay product, but easy to install!

This chairis amazing! I had back surgery, and was suffering terribly witht he chair my company provided. I bought this char in hopes of relief and got that in spades!!

This is a fabulous chair. Surprisingly comfortable and endlessly adjustable. Highly recommended as a home office chair.
