Q: Can these usb cables be used on exterior or home? If not how can we get exterior compatible usb?
A: i just have misunderstood the store. I am only concerned that the cable from the camera to the dvr are weatherproof. also can you please tell me the type of cable. I was originally of the understanding the cable from the camera to the dvr were usb so that is why i asked the question. also can you tell me the length of those cables? Thanks, Joe
A: Hi Kerry. No, this camera uses BNC cable and is not compatible with Category 5 (Cat5) cable. However, you can still access the system using both your cell phone and your PC through the Swann Security app, which is available for download on both platforms. Mary - Swann Team.
