I bought The Outer Worlds because of what I have heard about Fallout New Vegas. Obsidian are the designers of FONV and so far the game hasn’t let me down. Love the companions and the fact that you can take two of them with you not to mention their smarty pants remarks. So far great story and you sometimes don’t know if you have made the correct choice. I believe that Obsidian has a great contender for Game of the year. Great job to the Obsidian team.

Box and disc were clean and in good condition. The game is good. It's kind of like a Fallout themed Borderlands with a bit of Skyrim and Mass Effect. I feel it is worth the money.

This is a great game for anyone who is starting out in RPGs. The game is shorter than most RPGs but still offers a great story, interesting characters, and good action. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone.

Haven’t played it yet but it looks really cool!!!!

Grand adventure that sometimes falls into feeling too familiar to other games of this type. Though some of the missions felt a little stale I always wanted to keep going and moving forward. Recommended.

Dont know about others but it was fun and something different when compared to other games.

This is a fantastic game. The common comparison is to Fallout but I think that's really just people drawing the line between it and Obsidian's last major title. This game is far more similar to the classic space RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Conversations feel natural and well-structured, characters are compelling, varied, and have their own depth and personality that make them feel like real people. The story (at least to the point I've played) is fun and engaging with clever writing, head-scratching conundrums, and far more giggles than you'd expect. Gunplay is well-crafted, feels balanced and provides several types of weapon or damage to optimize your attack to each encounter. Graphics (on Xbox One X), while sometimes muddy on less-important or distant objects, are great overall and enhance the immersion of this first-person locked game. FPS is steady and smooth with few hiccups. All in all the only issues I've had center around a clunky, sometimes hard to understand menu system and controls limited by the platform. Three functions on X that can't be rebound is too many, I don't want to get my gun out every time I talk to somebody, change regions, or open doors. In conclusion : if a romp in space with new friends along the way and plenty of people to shoot, make peace with, or swindle along the way sounds like your kind of game - give this one a shot!

Loved this the detail… the story amazing! Options and visuals.

The Outer Worlds was a game I didn't know that I wanted...no...that I NEEDED. Its a first person shooter with heavy RPG elements, you liked Fallout: New Vegas? Same people made this. This game pretty much shows that Obsidian deserves you take notice of them as a player in the video game industry. The writing is what sets this game apart, I missed the banter between my squad mates that Mass Effect gave me. I missed doing side quests to help my squad mates in things to better their lives. Don't worry Parvati, I'll get you that date with the woman you're crushing on. I've recommended this game to many people, friends, family, a random passerby on the street, and now I recommend it to you who is reading this. Get the Outer Worlds, if you enjoy smart writing, fun gameplay and meaningful choices, you won't regret it.

Great game. Love to play! Used to play Fall Out and this is a lot like that game.

Haven’t beat the game yet but so far it’s super fun and diverse. The storyline is pretty good and lots of different options to take. I can see myself playing thru again with different choices for factions. The graphics are pretty cool too. It does get easier really quick on normal mode but there are higher difficulties to choose from if you want.

Like everyone else I bought this game because I heard that Obsidian (FO NV) made this game. And not surprisingly just like everyone else I had an amazing time with this game. Fun story, runs smoothly, solid gameplay. If you liked fallout you will feel right at home playing this

Great classics game with plenty to do! Hard enough but not impossible. The 4K looks great also.

If you liked fallout new Vegas you’ll love this title

This was bought for a gift. The person receiving it has really enjoyed it! This game has become a family game, everyone wants to be present to keep up with the story. Awesome game!! Graphics are vivid & crisp! Anyone who likes RPG would love this game!

This is the game we should have had instead of fallout 76. Really fun reminds me of Fall Out: New Vegas. Worth 20 dollars and some fun hours of your time.

Haven't gotten too far in the game, but I can tell you this. 1) It's not a sandbox game, but it isn't linear either. Each planet is a small map filled with missions and you can backtrack even later on. Also, they are not all open to you right away as you will have to unlock some areas as you go. 2) There are multiple ways to handle missions. It's not an A to B game, it's more like an A to B,C,D or even AB, or AD type ending game. So, always talk, read, and look around for more options. 3) Combat is fun and solid. Started on hard and got a beat down regularly, even by regular mobs, so I had to actually plan and think out my actions rather than rushing in. 4) Building your character. First, know that your initial stats (int, const, str, etc.) Are permanent and can't be changed. Your skills (sneaking, weapon proficiency, engineering, etc), however, CAN BE. This will just cost you money and can be done on your ship. Overall this game is fun and a solid return to rpg elements. Best way to describe it is New Vegas meets KOTOR.

Fun and challenging sci fi FPS. I'm not the biggest fan of FPS games, but watching reviews and gameplay of The Outer Worlds won me over. So, when I saw the title on sale at Best Buy, I had to pick it up! Not disappointed!

Well crafted game by obsidian. Same company made Fallout New Vegas. Great gameplay and characters, scenarios. As others have said though seems a bit short, but definitely a great game.

Really neat open-world game in the vein of Fallout. What really stands out to me is the colorful graphics particularly in a world where these games can be muted in personality. Worth the purchase
