Limited 180gm vinyl LP repressing. Digitally remastered edition of this 1979 album by the hard rock quartet. Van Halen II was the band's five times platinum sophomore album. With vocals by the wildly entertaining David Lee Roth, the guitar masterwork of Eddie Van Halen and the irreplaceable rhythm section of drummer Alex Van Halen and bassist/backing vocalist Michael Anthony, Van Halen were one of the late '70s and early '80s greatest rock 'n' roll bands. Mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who remastered the original albums at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios, was enlisted for this new version. The Best of Chic is a greatest hits album by American R&B band Chic, released on Atlantic Records in late 1979, including the biggest hits from their first three albums Chic (1977), C'est Chic (1978) and Risqué (1979). The seven-track album, which omits the 1979 hit single InchMy Forbidden LoverInch and replaces it with InchChic CheerInch and also combines three 7-inch edits and one extended 12-inch mix with three album versions, was the only compilation to be released during the band's six years on Atlantic and reached #88 on the US charts and #30 in the UK in early 1980.
