Excellent quality but I'm surprised that some common features were left off. To start with-the remote is a joke....you cannot pick a disk by number, you have to do that on the unit. To see which disk is playing, you have to get within inches of the unit because the numbers are so small on the display. It seems designed to be installed above eye level because if if is set up below eye level and you load it and don't close the tray (controls are blocked if unit is below you) , the controls are blocked and you can't close it with the remote. The tray does not come completely out so you have to slide the the last 2 discs in VERY carefully when loading. It defaults to disc 1, and if there is no disc there, it does not search for next disc automatically, you must do it manually. (unless you are in single disc mode) I'm sure Yamaha has engineering reasons for all of this, but I am disappointed that a unit so expensive put so little thought into ease of operation.
