i watched this movie many times over and over a lot

Despite the “abolition of Slavery” by England, several European countries, as well as many countries in the Americas, still engaged in that “evil socioeconomic institution of African Slavery.” This movie examines the very doctrine of freedom vs enslavement, as it was perceived and practiced within America (land of the free?), and the final legal decision by the U. S. Supreme Court to acknowledge the “rights of freeborn Africans” to be returned to their countries and homes therein, and to be reunited with their families and loved ones.

Great storyline, goes to the heart of America, we all are equal and those who fight for the rights of others! I will watch this one again and recommend it to anyone.

A wonderful movie!!! Will touch your heart ❤️!!!! In different ways......is a powerful message from a dark age time of our history!!!!!

When you think of the Spielberg filmography, this movie often is forgotten. It should not be. This is an amazing movie with a solid cast and compelling story. A must watch!!
