  • 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity

Say never again to never-ending piles of laundry—this ultra large capacity washer fits more clothes in every load and helps you power through laundry day in less time. Bring on big loads of towels or jeans -this 4.5 cu. ft. washer fits more in every load up to 20 lbs.

  • 6Motion Technology

Based on the cycle you select, LG 6Motion technology uses up to 6 different wash motions, each designed to get clothes cleaner and help them last longer. Options range from a scrubbing PowerMotion that helps to dissolve stains to the gentle Swinging motion that’s ideal for delicates.

  • ColdWash Technology

Saving energy doesn’t have to mean compromising on cleaning with the ColdWash option. Powered by the LG Direct Drive Motor and 6 motion technology, it’s ideal for cleaning all types of clothes—even those you normally wash in warm water. Can be used with almost any wash cycle and virtually all fabric types.

  • LG ThinQ Smart Technology

The LG ThinQ app offers control and convenience for smart LG appliances to help you simplify life and enjoy the comforts of home. Manage and monitor your washer remotely, track and download cycles, connect with Google or Alexa voice assistants, and access smart diagnosis, customer support, and much more.

  • Built-In Intelligence: AI Fabric Sensor / Smart Pairing

Forget about endless sorting or toggling through cycles—built-in sensors use AI technology to detect fabric texture and load size, then automatically select the right wash motions, temperatures and more for advanced fabric care. With Smart Pairing, the washer can even tell the dryer to select a compatible drying cycle¹, making it the ultimate laundry hack.

  • LG ThinQ UP

ThinQ UP enabled smart appliances may receive software updates for new downloadable features and enhancements to be sent wirelessly to the appliance. Choose which features you want and customize your appliance based on your lifestyle and personal preferences.

  • LG ThinQ Care

Available within the LG ThinQ app, ThinQ Care sends proactive usage, maintenance, and diagnostic alerts to your smartphone, notifying you of potential issues and helping you keep your smart LG appliances running smoothly.

  • NeveRust Stainless Steel Tub

Unlike tubs made from porcelain or plastic, the LG NeveRust Stainless Steel Tub avoids the chips and nicks that can snag fabrics and ruin clothing.

  • True Balance Anti-Vibration System & LoDecibel Quiet Operation

Run the washer whenever you want - LG 's True Balance Anti-Vibration and LoDecibel systems are designed for quiet operation that keeps even big loads in balance to reduce washer noise and vibration. A must-have for main-floor or second-floor laundry rooms.

  • Direct Drive Motor 10-Year Limited Warranty

Backed by a 10-year limited warranty, the LG Direct Drive Motor delivers peace of mind with every load. Fewer moving parts means less noise and vibration, greater stability and durable performance you can depend on for years to come.

  • ENERGY STAR Certified

This LG high efficiency washer uses far less water and energy than a conventional washer for savings that add up with each load. Get additional savings with load-sensing technology that adjusts water levels and wash times or by adding the ColdWash option to almost any cycle.

  • Closet Depth

LG closet-depth² washers and dryers are worth showing off, but when space dictates otherwise it’s good to know they’ll easily fit in almost any closet with plenty of room to close the closet door. Install the pair side-by-side, or get a stacking kit and install the dryer over the washer to save even more space.

  • TubClean System

With the LG TubClean system, you don’t have to worry about mold, mildew or musty odors. Simply select the TubClean cycle, add liquid bleach or other cleaner and let the washer do the work to thoroughly clean and dry the tub, door and gaskets. Run it every month or so to help keep your washer—and your laundry—clean and fresh.

  • LG SideKick Compatible (27")

Add the one-of-a-kind LG SideKick 27" pedestal washer³ and wash small loads that just can’t wait in the compact washer below while you do a big load up top. Warm and cold settings and 6 cycles let you care for all types of items, from delicates and hand washables to workout wear and baby clothes. Elevate your washer for easier loading and unloading.

    Stackable Washer and Dryer

Love them so far. They run quietly and are doing the job. The dial for the washer has a light that is a little hard to determine what setting it is pointing to, but we will learn with time.

    Lg washer

I have had this one month and think it was a good buy. I had. 14 year old I needed to replace and this works well for me. The only downside from my last washer is there isn’t a bright white cycle. Not really a problem, just need to use the normal cycle and put on hot.

    Lots of features

I purchased this particular machine after asking ChatGPT about quality, reliable washers and dryers. This washer has more features than we'll use, but I love having all the options. It's attractive as well. Time will tell whether the quality holds up, but it has great reviews!

Questions & Answers

  • Is it common for front loaders like this to vibrate/shake a lot during a spin cycle? We turned it on for the first time, put a rather small load of laundry in, and when it got to the spin portion it was loud and visibly moving when looking at it.

Did you make sure to remove all of the shipping bolts from the Energy Star® Certified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Stackable Smart Front Load Washer with AI Wash and ColdWash™ Technology - White, Model: WM3420CW, after unpacking it? Failure to remove shipping bolts and retainers may cause severe vibration and noise, which can lead to permanent damage to the washer. The washer must be installed on firm flooring to minimize vibration during the spin cycle. Concrete flooring is best, but a wood floor is sufficient, provided it is built to FHA standards The floor under the washer must not slope more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) from front to back or side to side. Make sure that the floor is clean, dry, and free of dust, dirt, water, and oil so the leveling feet cannot slide easily. Leveling feet that can move or slide on the floor can contribute to excess vibration and noise. If the floor has too much flex, reinforce it to make it more rigid. If the floor is not solid, it may cause severe vibration and noise...^Ivan.

  • Will this machine fit on top of my current LG base?

What is the model number for your "current LG base", or what is its width? The Energy Star® Certified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Stackable Smart Front Load Washer with AI Wash and ColdWash™ Technology - White, Model # WM3420CW, is designed for compatibility with LG Laundry Pedestals that have a width of 27", like the older WDP4W or the current LG 27" LG Laundry Pedestal, Model # WDP6W. It is compatible with older LG laundry pedestals, provided your older pedestal is designed for a standard 27-inch-wide LG chassis. LG has deliberately kept the foundational footprint profile of its 27-inch front-load laundry lines unchanged for years, meaning the physical legs of the new WM3420CW will sit correctly on top of older 27-inch pedestals...^Ivan.
