I ordered online since it is not necessary for me to see the laptop physically as all specs are available in website. Received delivery this morning and immediately open the box to power up and set up the typical things you need to do on a brand new laptop. After powering up, Cortana blue screen showed up and waited for next step to show up. Since I am also working at home, I just let it seat there and continue with my work. After more than 30 min., nothing happened so I power cycle. Same thing again and so I just let it run longer this time. Same results, nothing happened. Repacked everything, went to BB and returned. Looked for a new model, not Dell of course, purchased and went home. Immediately opened the new laptop, powered up and within 10-15 minutes, everything was all set-up and my son is now using it. Will have a separate review on the working laptop.

My eight year old received this laptop this morning and it’s been blue screen city. It’s not working. I purchased this because I enjoyed the G5 and it worked well. No sound. No clean load. Laggy and glitchy. This machine has not been able to even load into windows on consecutive restarts sans a blue screen forced restart, did a wipe and still trash. Either this is a lemon or it’s truly trash, not sure. RE the image below... What’s there to clean-up, it’s brand new? Eight kernel blue screen errors and ad nauseam of the barcode errors, which I have too, have made me weary of buying Dell moving forward. I’ve had better success with Lenovo. Checked for drivers, Painstakingly. 6 hours later, done. Returning this heap.

My only real issue initially is that the battery life wasn’t great. Overall, I was reasonably satisfied with it until the hinge broke about a month after the one year warranty expired. This was not a daily laptop. Adult only used, once or twice per week on average. I refuse to pay to have it fixed, because I suspect that I’ll be in the same predicament in a year or so when the same thing happens. It’s poorly designed. Just google Dell G3 15 hinge broken and you’ll see that I’m not the only one. Because of the hinge issue, the screen itself is being damaged if I try to open or close it. I would recommend very strongly against the Dell G3 series.

I've owned this laptop for about a month and it is fantastic. It runs the games I play (War Thunder, SW Squadrons, Company of Heroes, etc.) smooth as silk on maximum graphics setting. As with all laptops I purchase I customize them to be the least intrusive as possible by using my own virus prevention software, driver updaters, and CCleaner which can remove any unwanted pre-DL'd bloatware. I recommend using a cooling pad when gaming over several hours at a time as this G3 does run a little hot. Nice bright and high res display, light up keyboard and cool styling of the case make this a really nice machine. Props to Best Buy for getting me a good deal as well.

Bought this as a Hanuakkah present for my husband, as it was around Black Friday 2020 when it occurred. So far, this computer has been lovely. Bit bulkier than I imagined at first, but it's easy to get use to. It works like silk running over your arms, purrs when running overtime, and finds itself to the center of attention when talked about. Especially for how much I paid for it on a Black Friday sale.

I returned this after finding good replacement. I cannot review well for this laptop, but this seems good for beginners of gamers. A little heavy and big comparing to other gaming laptops.

Poorly designed Dell is notorious for this. When you open the lid the bottom of the screen obstructs the rear vents airflow. Which has the heat blowing on the bottom of the screen bezel. Which over time will cause the inverter to burn out and the screen will go black in 1-2 years of decent usage. Built in obsolescence.
