A: This is a wireless router with a few wired connection ports across the base unit and satellites (1-in/3-out on base, 2 out on each satellite), not a cable modem. You would connect the Comcast cable modem to this with an ethernet cord.

Q: Does this take a long time to reboot if need be. I heard from a review can take 45 minutes to an hour to reboot or re-cycle.

A: I haven’t actually timed it but it does not take 45 minutes. Maybe 5 minutes for the router and another few minutes for the satellites to reconnect. Conservatively, I don’t think more than 8-10 minutes total for entire system to be back up after reboot
