I would call the Geek Squad and explain the situation to them I'm sure they will accommodate you or explain what needs to be done in your situation I recently had to take my television back to them because it no longer functioned It's was still covered under the extended warranty that I purchased The sent it out for repairs However it couldn't be repaired Soon they contacted me to come in and issued me a gift card store credit This enabled me to purchase another television Plus the process only took about a week Definitely satisfied
