I found out if you get a replacement item the rest of the warranty is not transferable to the replacement .

Please try again later.The way it works, and I"m sure you would have to ask a Best Buy customer service employee, but, your Geek Squad Protection/extended warranty you buy from Best Buy, if you require a replacement for the item, the ESP only covers one replacement. Repairs to your item don't cancel out the warranty, only the replacement does. You can't keep using the same original warranty when you get a replacement. That would defeat the purpose for Best Buy extended warranties and wouldn't be profitable for Best Buy. If you get a replacement, I believe you would need to purchase a new extended service warranty. I'm pretty sure this is covered in the terms and conditions of your Geek Squad Protection/extended service warranty.
