• Mine only reboots when I install an external drive or when I turn it off. Other than that, it is on all the time.

• Mine is used every day and I have not experienced any problems at all. I have a large size USB drive plugged in to record. It records perfectly using the timer and also not using it. I formatted the drive before plugging it in. Maybe try unplugging everything and disconnecting everything (remove batteries from the remote) and wait 15 minutes before plugging everything back in.

• Try going into settings using your remote control (menu button), then go to system and do a reset on the unit. Enter all zeroes (0) when it asks for the passcode. See if this helps.
