It doesn't 'do' hard drives at all, only registering floppy disks and thumb drives. You may as well forget about recording anything, however, as either the channel will come and go or the box will botch the recording. And to think I bought a 1TB hard drive thinking I'd be fine sans cable...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That unit cannot read anything that large. We recommend 32GB USB thumb drives for this device. The unit will format a section of that for recording. It may work with larger thumb drives but it will only use so much of the drive for recording.
