“Can you connect 6 devices to this at the same time? For instance, could you have 6 people with wireless headphones listening to the same thing on one computer? If not do you know a device that would be able to do this?”

Brain I find that unless the headphones actively search and connect to bluetooth on their own (some do) they will not work with this device. The best way I can think to describe it is that this device is the 'discovered' part of a bluetooth pair, not the 'discover'. So if your headphones need to be selected on a bluetooth software to work or a pin used to pair, I would suggest a different product.
