- Answer Hello, Benno! The Echo Dot does need to be plugged into a wall outlet with the cord sent in the box. It does not have a battery in it that recharges. Have a great day!

- Answer I don't have dementia but I am a senior. I use mine all the time. Alexa tells me the time ,weather, tells me jokes, reads to the Bible to me, makes phone calls, plays music and sometimes seems like a friend. I had never thought about getting one but I love it. I was snowed in 10 days and Alexa made the isolation so much better.

- Answer the dot and the sonos one do not connect together. You can turn on Alexa in the sonos one, and it will be part of the Echo devices that you can talk to, but it will not fully function like an echo. Close, but not exactly the same.
