• The difference to me between the two is that with the fire stick you have more options. You can download more apps than the Apple tv

• There are different programs available to each of them. The Firestick will be easier to set up and use. Where as with the apple tv, you will have the option of more games (xbox 360 style controller sold separately). And on the Apple tv there will be different types of streaming programs already installed
