• Nope. This is just basically a streaming stick and gives you access to Amazon Prime, HBO, Netflix and other streaming apps.

• No, you don't have to have Amazon Prime. They certainly offer it, and the paperwork tells you that you get some extra features with Prime, but mine works just fine without it.
