Well my father is rocking the old fire stick with dual core. His internet speed veries, 44Mbps, (AT&T DSL) I think that is what he has when I set it up for him. And it works perfectly a few seconds to load but reasonable. I, on other hand, I have the new Fire Stick with a Quad Core. My internet 100Mbps (TWC, now Spectrum). And it loads right up no lag. 100 Mbps is standard for Spectrum. And it is about the same as AT&T $44 a month. Hope this helps

Please try again later.i have terrible internet and it only buffers once about midway through tv shows @45-70min and twice @90+min marks, so if you have anything better than a plug in you should be fine... at least better than me, and mine isnt bad at all! (buffering takes 8-12sec)
