• It works with any WiFi, I've connected it to my phones WiFi hotspot before with no problems, just slow if your connection is bad.

• It works well with a mobile hotspot. Your bandwidth should be at least 10 mpbs to have a great video stream without buffering. Usually a 4g data service is sufficient to run smooth. U may be pressing your luck with a 3g connection.

• Mine connects fine with WiFi and xfinity hotspot. I think you need to Bluetooth a mouse to it and use your phone, iPad, or tablet as a typing device when using the browser to logon to xfinity hotspot. It's been a while since I tried but it definitely works both ways. There are some YouTube(s) that show you how to do it.
