Q: QuestionDoes this particular kindle use E ink for less blue light?
Asked by Letty.
- A:Answer Hi Letty, Yes — the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024 model) uses an E Ink display, which is easy on the eyes and doesn’t emit bright blue light like tablets or phones do. You can also adjust the warm light to make the screen even softer at night. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionWhat about the advertising?
Asked by Inesello.
- A:Answer I do not find the ads to be obtrusive, they're only on the lock screen. They can be a little embarassing if you're getting recommendations for smutty trash like I am (because that's what I read), but if you have a cover its a non-issue.

Q: QuestionI purchased a paperwhite and have actually swapped out three times due to none connecting/staying connected to my Amazon account. It connects to wifi and then when I go through the registration process it doesn't set up. Amazon is no help.Any suggestions?
Asked by j4ua.
- A:Answer Hello J4ua, you are having issues with your Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (16GB) not staying connected to your Amazon account after the registration process. The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (16GB) connects to Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, it is possible that your Wi-Fi router at home might have both the Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz enabled. The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite might connect to your Wi-Fi 5.0 GHz which will cause it to continually disconnect, you can verify your network in the settings of your router (can be different for all router brands). Hope this addresses your concern. Have an amazing day!

Q: QuestionHow can I check what year model I own, when I no longer have my purchase information. Is it printed somewhere on the device or how can find out? Thanks….
Asked by Cammoman99.
- A:Answer Hello Cammoman99! As long as the Kindle is still working all you have to do is go to Settings > Device Options > Device Info. This screen will show the generation and serial number. If the device is not functioning you can typically find the serial number printed in small font on the back of the device. Searching online for the first 5-6 characters of the serial number should yield the info on what generation your device is. I hope this answers your question and I hope you have a great day!

Q: QuestionHow do I get the unsupported ad type?
Asked by Bobbi.
- A:Answer Hello Bobbi! If you are seeing an "Unsupported ad type" error or message on your Kindle Paperwhite, it usually isn't a feature you "get" intentionally; rather, it's a technical state that occurs when the device's ad-supported system hits a snag. I hope that this helps!

Q: QuestionDoes it have external storage?
Asked by SwissAssassin.
- A:Answer Hi SwissAssassin, Thank you for your question about the Kindle Paperwhite (16 GB) 2024 model. No, the Kindle Paperwhite does not have external storage or expandable memory. The device comes with a fixed internal storage capacity of either 16 GB or 32 GB (depending on the model you choose), and there is no SD card slot or other method to expand the storage. However, 16 GB of storage is quite generous for an e-reader and can hold thousands of books. Here's what you can expect: 16 GB can store approximately 3,000-4,000 e-books (depending on file size) 32 GB (Signature Edition) can store approximately 6,000-8,000 e-books Additionally, all your purchased Kindle books are stored in Amazon's cloud, so you can download and remove books from your device as needed without losing access to your library. If you need more storage capacity, you might consider the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (32 GB), which offers double the storage along with additional features like wireless charging and an auto-adjusting front light. Happy reading!
