Hello Kathy! Yes the Kindle Paperwhite does have the immersive experience available. The Kindle can have a text-to-speech feature that highlights words while reading. To activate text-to-speech on a Kindle look for the option in the books menu. Using the accessibility features you can activate VoiceOver or Speak Screen.
