Not true , on your order , if you select pick up , you will find an option to enter the name of the person who will pick up the order , moreover you can add another person who can pickup your order , just make sure that person have the order number and his ID

Some stores and some times they seem stricter than others Annoying but security and guess. You can add an authorization for others to pick up
