You can wear them one at time the only time they would stop if you have them both in and decide to take one out you just have to hit play to continue with the one

Please try again later.For my Pro 2’s (I’ve heard with these too as well), if you go to the AirPods settings when one is in your ear and go to accessibility, there is a setting you can turn on that enables noise cancellation with one pod on your ear AND (the answer to your question) There is a setting that’s called automatic ear detection and if you turn that off your music and stuff won’t pause when one pod is removed. It’s in the settings and then click your AirPods.
