The Memory in ANY phone is determined by the capacity in the memory chip. This is a hardware device soldered on to the circuit board in the phone. There is no "adjustment" to this. In the same way you cannot "adjust" the size of the engine in your car. It is what it is. I suggest you get a new iphone 8 with 256 gb of memory. i'm very pleased with mine. I've had the iphone 4s, 5, 6, 7 and now the 8
