These cameras can connect to a Smart Hub or Base Station as well as directly to your wifi router. Depending on the camera you purchase, you may need a Smart Hub or Base Station as not all Arlo cameras can connect directly to your WIFI Router.

I started using the “Arlo series 2” (which requires the “Arlo hub router”) about 10 years ago and have sense added the “Pro 4” (which have their own built in Wi-Fi) cameras to my “Arlo” account. They all continue to work great considering the years past. Purchase the month subscription ($10.00 p/mo) helps store the captions and supports additional content as well. Hope this helps.
