Do you mean as far as making it a smart tv? All this does is provide a wireless signal to your device from your router. If the tv isn't smart then it wont have any kind of interface to connect to the internet or use it in any way. You're likely looking for a roku or fire stick that would give your tv a smart interface. Providing of course you do have a router or modem/router combo giving off a Wi-Fi signal from your ISP that they can connect to.
