A:AnswerYes, but not on a new unit.
The device must be used with AT&T for 6 months before it can be unlocked.
After this point a code is provided, which unlocks the unit.
A:AnswerAny IP capable camera should work with this. All you need to do is make sure its set on DHCP mode on the camera because thses devices come preconfigured as DHCP server. It should be able to work with any IP camera. If you know networking very well you can decide to use static or manual configuration. Both wireless and Wired camera should work well on it
A:AnswerRemember that this is just a HUB
You will be using it to access the internet as a hotspot
So, you'll still be using a Desktop, or Laptop and uploading to any platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, etc.. from your computer.
It can not be used independent of a computer or other device which is needed to host the file you want to upload,
You can't just plug a usb thumb drive into this unit and upload. It doesn't work that way.
I hope my answer helps.
A:AnswerI chose OTR Mobile for $60/month. Unlimited data, no caps, no throttling and no network managing. The hotspot comes with an AT&T mobile SIM card. Just call up OTR, give them the number printed on the SIM, and 30 minutes later it was up and running. Works great.
A:AnswerWould have to unlock this device to use another carrier than AT&T. Have used so far with AT&T (through OTR Mobile) and it has worked perfectly for our fulltime RV needs.
A:AnswerHaven't tried but even if it does work it wouldn't be ideal. I would recommend bringing this into a wifi router via ethernet and using the router for wifi and extenders. I do this with a ubiquiti setup, this, ubiquiti router, ubiquiti switch, wifi aps, devices, works great
A:AnswerATT has the firmware available online.
There are different models also with different firmware.
I recommend checking the negear site for your specific model.
A:AnswerYes, you can turn the router into “bridge mode” and let the External IP pass-through to a regular router. We’re currently using it with a google WiFi setup at our house and it works pretty well.
