• Mine has batteries that are good for 2 years. The main base has a plug but that goes in our room near out router.

• The cord that is shipped with the Blink Mini is a 2 meter (roughly a little over 6 ft) micro USB and power adapter, electrical rating: 100-240V 50/60 HZ 0.15A, you would be able to purchase a longer power cord if you choose you would just need to make sure it was 5 Volt/1 Amp USB-Micro connector
