Hi Kathy, thank you for your question. The shortest wash cycle on this model is the Express wash which is 30 minutes. The Express cycle is designed to clean lightly soiled dishes and reduce overall wash time. You can use this cycle to clean glasses and dessert dishware that may need to be reused at the same event.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not familiar with all of the Ascenta features, but I have used the default half-load setting (not necessarily the "short cycle"). It uses less water, of course, but its cycle duration is 2 hrs and 15 min vs. 2 hrs and 20 min - so, not much difference. If there's a short cycle in time of wash, I have not figured it out yet.
