This way, any devices you connect to the TV will output to the Bose Solo 5 via the TV's optical audio output. The speakers of you TV may still emit audio while using the optical audio output (like it does on my Samsung Q6F), in that case, just decrease the TV's audio to 0 if you only want to hear the audio from the soundbar.
