This camera has a built in battery. I would suggest using one of those portable cell phone chargers and charge when not shooting. I have not yet had a chance to use it much yet but the little bit I di the battery seemed to do ok. Remember constant zooming ad the display will eat the battery power on any camera. Zooming less usually makes better video and save the battery.
