A:Answer for headset I'd say get a wireless, the wire is the one that normally breaks.
I got a "corsair RGB elite wireless" for 100$, you can do something cheaper, but expect for worse audio and mic.
for the mouse if the wire gets in the way get a wireless, Logitech is a good mouse brand for me.
if you game then I'd say a "Lightspeed wireless"
if not then get a Bluetooth.
