  • QuestionCan i install windows 7 on this computer..Windows 7 runs my vsts and plugins better that windows 10 =)

    Asked by Producer.

    • Answer Direct X12 is supported under Windows 10 although games haven't caught up to it yet. The advantage is that DX12 will access all the cores that a processor offers. Many games access only two cores as do most benchmarks which favored Intel processors since they were specifically constructed to favor the first two cores. AMD expected the industry and Microsoft to program for additional cores while the industry stuck to its old ways and Intel designed processors that took advantage of the old ways while charging more for them. You'll recall that it was AMD that issued the world's first 64 bit processor which made it possible to write 64 bit operating systems which was necessary to overcome both physical memory and hard disk limitations. It is possible that Microsoft may make DX12 updates available for Windows 7 users but they may choose not to do it. DX12 patches may become available in the aftermarket and some game vendors may provide DX12 patches as well. What I would do if it was necessary to retain Windows 7 because of specific software is establish a dual boot in the BIOS to select the drive where the different operating systems are stored, then boot to the operating system you wish to use. Windows 7 with XP mode is excellent in games and as long as you have a 64 bit copy of the OS, it should work fine with all the available ram and stored data on disks. If 32 bit, then the old limitations on memory and storage wil severely limit the computers capability and slow its processing whenever the processing was demanding, as it can be in games and in rendering large volumes of data. Two or three years from now, multiple core DX12 use will be industry wide as 32-bit hardware continues to disappear.

  • QuestionCan you run H1ZI and infinite warfare on high settings 60fps? Also whats the computer processor?

    Asked by Midwaay.

    • Answer The processor is in the description. AMD FX-8350 processor (8-core). The processor is on the ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. M5A97 R2.0 (Socket 942) motherboard. Will it run H1Z1 and In.Warfare on high? Well, kinda, yes.. I run Fallout 4 and World of Tanks on the highest settings.. it handled the FPS but... You will really want more RAM. This system only comes with 8GB and that just isn't enough for today's gaming and loading times. Get this PC and drop $50 on another 8GB (at least) from Amazon/Crucial, plug it in, and you'll be all set. Once I popped the additional $50 I was running Warframe on max, in groups. No prob with memory or FPS. Is it "awesome"? No.. but hey, it's damned good for under $700 from BestBuy.. so... what do you expect :)
