“I just purchased this today. I can get audio & cd pics to work but when I try to get movies to work on cd or dvd they wont play, the sceen is green, I do get audio, do I have to pay the upgrade fee to get it to work, running windows 11”

Flattered to be asked about this and will answer best I can. I too, bought one of these at the same time I bought my laptop, (since most new laptops don't come with a dvd/cd drive anymore). I also had problems as I couldn't get my turbotax dvd to work. I solved my problem by taking my laptop out of "s-mode" but not before going to the store and buying a McAfee antivirus card. The s-mode is the anti-virus software that came with my laptop. Anyway, after taking my laptop out of s-mode I immediately installed the McAfee. After that, my Turbotax dvd worked just fine. Also I recall something about the laptop only being able to use microsoft apps. Taking my laptop out of s-mode allowed me to use all apps. Hope these clues help-Jonathan
