• it is an hdmi monitor. I would recommend it but not sure for gaming because I'm not a big gamer. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a very nice quality monitor.

• Yes, this is a HDMI monitor, the picture quality will be much better than the VGA output. However, the FPS on the monitor will depend on the system hardware.
