It can be used for anything from watching videos to reading books, accessing the net, playing games, and depending on what apps you install, nearly anything you could want it to do. However for a 7 year old, I might consider instead getting a childrens oriented tablet, like one made for kids. Typically they would have better protection from drops and spills, and be easier to hold.

A:AnswerIt does not pick up the 5Ghz band. now are you talking about Wifi or 5G cell coverage? they are 2 totally different things. and i believe it would only pick up limited 4G cell towers , and mostly would run off 3G. That all depends on the sim card you would get from your cell phone provider.
