Yes, you can now control if you want to fly..DJI has upgraded their firmware to allow this...

No. It can’t be turned off. DJI stated that a firmware and software update is coming by the end of this month. Please remember that DJI geo zones were created for safety purposes.

I have had no experience with this issue. The DJI Fly app may put a warning that you may be flying in restricted areas, but I've not had it physically restrict anything. The terms and conditions portion of the app cover that the end user is responsible for adhering to safe operating and following all FAA drone guidelines.

Yes all of the FAA and govt restricted areas are downloaded into the drones GPS
