“I want to take before and after flights of some work I am doing in a thick woods so will the trees mess w the controller reaching the drone? Also dont have good service there and no wifi it is just woods. How does the drone beam the active flight video?”

Yes, It beams the video back in almost real time, you don't need WIFI and Trees shouldn't be an issue as long as you are flying above them.
