I have wood flooring, real oak flooring and it works great and has never scratch it. The roller brushes are soft yet pick up all the dust and dirt great.

If your flooring can accept a brush bar with no issues, you should be fine. You may wish to check with your flooring manufacturer, if there are any concerns over brush bar usage. The brush bar on our cord-free machines cannot be disabled. We do carry, separately, a fluffy soft roller head that can be purchased.
