Please try again later.Short answer to your question is yes, the printer will work when connected to a computer via a USB cable in lieu of connecting wirelessly via an network connection. However, be aware that this printer does not come with a USB cable. Really dumb given that fact that the cable required is not a standard USB cable with USB jacks at both ends. The jack at the end that interfaces with the printer is not USB! it is a much smaller squarish jack. Don't understand why Epson didn't elect to bump up the price by $ 1.50 and provide a cable so those that need one don't have to waste time figuring what to get and how to get it.
