Probably want a larger ssd. Huge game takes lots of time to load. N.B.: do not use a SATA ssd. Go NVME. Finally, if you're going to ask such a question, I wonder if you haven't read Microsoft's published recommendations, also many excellent articles on gaming websites, etc. This is a very resource intensive app. Your external storage isn't the only problem: there's cpu & gpu performance, memory size and speed, over-clocking capability (which also involves limits to whatever cooling solution is implemented), and finally, bandwidth on your broadband connection. Also display resolution and refresh rate. Read a few in-depth articles on FS 2020 so you don't end up wasting a wad of cash and a lot of time. Good luck.
