Hi doc - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE JVM3160EFES. We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. This must be frustrating. If the microwave trips the house fuse or breaker, be certain the microwave is on its own dedicated circuit. If the breaker continues to trip off, unplug the microwave and contact service. A qualified GE service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. To schedule service online, visit us at GEAppliances.com or call 1.800.GE.CARES (800.432.2737). Please have your serial number and your model number available when calling for service. We're glad to have you in the family. Keep in touch! Sue
