Hello. Thanks for checking with us! This a/c unit is not designed for a thru-the-wall installation as it does not offer a slide-out chassis. We hope this information helps, and should you have any additional questions, please reach out to us!- Kianna@GEA

Since most wall construction has the vertical wall studs separated 16 inches apart, the space between any two studs is 14 1/2". By removing a section out of one stud there will be twice that plus the width of the stud, or 30 1/2'". That should be plenty of width to accommodate the A/C unit ad its frame that you must make and attach to the adjacent studs and the upper and lower section of the stud that you cut to make space. Once installed, you cat cut suitable trim pieces like a picture frame to trim out the four sides of the wall around the A/C unit. Do this on both the inside and out side of the wall.
