If you're wanting to build this new unit into surrounding cabinetry, you would need to use the new trim kits that are compatible with the new microwave. QuestionWhat are the cutout dimensions for this microwave if I want to install it under a cabinet, but between two other cabinets? Can the sides and back be covered if it is mounted to a cabinet above without a trim kit? Where should the outlet be located?

- Answer Hello and thank you for reaching out about this wonderful microwave. When hanging from a cabinet, there should be at least 2 inches on each side between the nearest wall or cabinet for proper air clearance. At 24" wide, this would require a space of 28" to hang. The cord is 39" long but the outlet should not be located directly behind the unit as the plug may interfere with the microwave. Keep in touch! - JB

If you are replacing a 36" over-the-range microwave, many current 30" over-the-range microwaves offer an optional 36" filler kit to allow it to be installed in a 36" cut-out opening.
