It pulls air from the room it is in. As long as you are able to give it minimal ventilation, you will be ok.

The unit pairs a high-speed fan with a heat pump system – it tumbles like a conventional dryer, but rather than blowing hot air over the clothes then dispersing the air through a duct system, our model recycles the air. It warms it in the tumbler, condenses the moisture into water via evaporative cooling, then drains the water out through the drain hose. There is no external venting. That said, because the internal airflow is heated by the sealed system, there will be some radiant heat outside the Combo that may slightly increase the temperature of a room; this would depend on room size and temperature, airflow, etc. The Combo doesn’t intentionally put heat into the room or pull in ambient air, but because of the possible radiant heat louvered doors are best if the unit is installed in a closet. We hope this helps, and we’re confident the Combo would be a great fit for your laundry needs! -Sarah@GEA
